OUR PROCUREMENT YARDSTICK \u2013<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Black Angus or Hereford or Black Baldy [\u2265 51% black hide \u2013 F1 Angus sired\/Hereford dam] or Red Angus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Feeder cattle ranchers and their veterinarians are required to submit verification (traceability) documentation pertaining to the genetic makeup and preconditioning of their cattle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

100 [minimum] head as follows:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

  • Choice Steers \u2013 2 series of vaccines, weaned, feed bunk and water trough trained, and dehorned or horns not protruding beyond ear length<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Choice Heifer \u2013 open \u2026 but not in late\/last trimester, with 2 series of vaccines, weaned, feed bunk and water trough trained, and dehorned or horns not protruding beyond ear length<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • A feeder shall have been \u201chome\u201d for a period of ten (10) days, but not less than five (5) days prior to its sale. This period can be either at a ranch direct sale or prior to placement in an auction barn<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Livestock Not Fed Animal Protein<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Feeder Cattle Rancherr shall verify that no animal has been fed any feed or supplement containing protein derived from mammalian tissues [ruminant meat and bone meal] as defined in 21 CFR 589.2000 \u2026 Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Transporting Livestock<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Animal transportation adheres to the established BQA protocol.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
